I have a Squeezebox Touch.
It looks good, and also sounds good.
Squeezebox: Classic/SB3, Duet,(Controller x2) Boom x3, Radio and Touch

Play nice now boys!
But as has been said by others, at the end of the day the final choice
comes down to you, as it's you who is going to buy the item.
Most would say to demo some cables of both types, expensive and cheap in
your own system first before you decide on the one to go for..

How would you connect them to the touch as it has a USB connection?

No worries, it still seems to be working. If the time drifts in the next

If the time starts to drift again, another thing to consider is the
small button cell on the motherboard itself.
How about a 'now playing' that displays on your TV? if your intrested

then you're obviously doing something wrong. If not, I'd chalk it up to
the cheap display on the Touch.
+1 for Album Art Exchange, it's

dBpoweramp is the way to go.
Over the last 3 years, I with a friend have been converting our combined
music collection to FLAC (14,000+ cd's). My ripper of choice is
dBpoweramp, as its interface is much easier than EAC.
With a collection this large, backing up your music is a must, and for
this I
I would be intrested in getting one as well, I'll send a PM to you.

I embed my artwork into each flac file, and also have one for the folder
itself. In both cases I always go for 500 x 500 as my size.
I use Album art exchange, or scan the covers myself. To do the resizing,
I use the very good and free, VSO Image resizer to do this. I keep all
artwork to between
, and know
that I've lost a lot of the high end. At least I still don't need
specs.
Bummer!. I work at an airport (24Yrs) and wear specs

into any problems. All of my music is in Flac, with
embeded and folder images.
Would i be right in thinking that the server looks for the folder image
file first, then skips a deeper image scan if it finds one?

The program that i use to create my flac files is dBpoweramp. With this
program it embeds the cover art of your choice into the file, and
creates a folder cover image file for you at the same time.
