I can't offer any meaningful advice, I can only say that I too have been
unable to play low sample rate MP3s on a Pi running
Squeezelite/Max2Play.
I have so few of them and am not particularly attached to any of them,
so I have never put any real work into figuring out what's going on.

in my case i think there is some IR interference in a particular

Very interesting. Can't help with sourcing the correct replacement. Do
you use Wi-Fi with the Touch? I'm curious if the IR would work better
if a wired LAN connection was used.
My Touch with IR trouble is wired.

This has recently suddenly happened to one of mine as well. In my case,
it barely works even if I hold the remote right up to the Touch. I've

I installed EDO this morning, but was getting a lot of dropouts when 192

Eventually I replaced the nice thick 2m optical cable with a
weedy-looking 30cm one.

I've had this strange issue with my Touch for a while now that -

the Now Playing screen still shows the last song I played last night

I used to worry about that as well...then the Wandboard and Community

@atrocity: Have you tried GnuCash? I switched to it from Quicken because

It's a nice improvement, at least for the simple things I need it for.
No, but you made me look. I'll have to find time to look

How well does Ubuntu work as a replacement for Windows?
Depends on what you're trying to do. If I didn't need Quicken and
didn't strongly prefer CoolEdit2000 over Audacity, I probably wouldn't
need Windows at all.

Are you sync'ing more than one SB, or are you getting this with a single

I guess most of us with Touches have seen the situation where sometimes
the display doesn't properly update and stays one track behind, but I've
recently had situations where that issue coincided with losing gapless
playback. I was playing live albums, so the less-than-a-second gaps

I keep a Touch on my desk at work and swap out 32 gig SD cards every few

It's a bit like losing gapless playback, only as you note it doesn't

Obviously my screwy setup isn't really Logitech's fault, but it seems
like what I'm asking for is a pretty common feature on other devices.
