Hi Ronnie, you're a really nice guy.
As for me so far I'm happy with mybookLive for now. I'm willing to take
some annoyances and live with it.
I considered Pi before but it seems mybooklive is able to feed 24/192
files adequately.

Simple: The version I know for sure that will work with mybook live is
by squeezeserver from slimdevice. I have no idea whether the other later
version will work or not and I don't know how to work with Linux, I've
got help when I firs

Anyway, I notice that the digital connection issue is a hit and miss,
meaning even I skip using app at all Touch eventually gets wonky if
digital connection is cut off.
I have re set up to have Touch, DAC and amp all co
Just a message on top left corner Enhanced Digital Output and I think
something that says not supported by Logitech.
I'll give another shot tonight. It seems if I turn SBT off at the unit
itself things are actually fine when I activate it again.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm using Squeezer to turn SBT off.
I'm testing to actually control SBT at the unit, stop and let it go into
screensaver mode. Seems like it works better.
And to answer your question: EDO message does show up a boot screen.

I bought a used SBT 2 weeks ago. Here's my setup:
- Media server in my Mybooklive
- Connecting to SBT via ethernet
- SBT using EDO using USB cable to feed Cambridge DAC
- Play is controlled by app
Here's what I've found: If I shut off SBT via app and don't play for a
while, then when I start SBT
I think my state before SBT is pretty much similar to you.
I guess for me now is to explore either Pi or Vortexbox.
Thanks!

I will test setting up media server on MyBook first to see if it process
24/192 decent enough. Then consider Pi with Max2Play. I was hoping to
eliminate the need of connecting notebook to DAC by having a SBT but it
seems I have complicated my life a bit more. We shall see.
Thanks!

Thanks for good information.
A few thoughts:
On (1) Pi is probably a good idea. I've been feeding music to DAC from
notebook for quite some years already, the idea to get SBT is have SBT
does the job instead of relying on a PC. But Pi may work well!
On (2) I'll test between WiFi and Ethernet, I
I have started reading different threads in different forums so I

and acquire some opinions here.
