The list of working DACs has been truncated by someone to remove any
devices requiring a usb hub to work w/ the EDO app. Can this list be
reverted to include those DACs requiring a usb hub?

I presently have two systems each utilizing a Squeezebox Touch running
triode's EDO and an asynchronous USB DAC, the Audioengine D1 and the HRT

very nice. I run flac from a remote (wired ethernet) netbook (w/ USB

sound quality. The cabal that exists on this forum that insists that
the status quo must be maintained and anything else is voodoo is
becoming a pita.
I asked whether the device would work w/ linux and this was greeted w/ a

Has anyone tested or tried the NuForce Icon uDAC2 Signature Edition
(with Asynchronous USB) with EDO to tell whether it will work w/ alsa

works natively w/ OSX 10 but no mention of linux.
Thanx

I have read through this thread a nomber of times in an attempt to find
a budget async USB DAC that offers an improvement in sound quality
without breaking the bank. I have two systems both w/ SBT that share an
LMS server running on a remote Win XP netbook w/ wired ethernet
connections. The

The fact that you are using a Mac and not Windows is not significant.
This is not to criticize but the address you wrote in your post
127.0.0.1, is known as the loop back address and is sometimes used as a
tool to discover whether TCP/IP is loaded properly. It cannot be the
address of

Meanwhile the bug affecting playback of random songs still occurs, not
grossly but it shouldn't happen at all.
thanks for your effort anyway.

I've experienced this as well and added a host entry to resolve
mysqueezebox.com and then later erased it. There is a short period of
time when SBS can't seem to to query DNS. I have never figured out
exactly what was going on but the host entry got it working.

Awhile back I had the same issue, could not connect SBS pc to
mysqueezebox.com. I added an entry to the host file and the problem
disappeared.
