The usb on the Marantz is for a disk or stick or apple thingy
The only two digital inputs are Optical and the spec says 192 kHZ is OK

44khz and 48khz play and display correctly. Only info in the manual for
the Marantz is

I see you're right. For example the Bel Canto 2Qute dac ... (the 2Qute
is a Chord), and also the Benchmark 'mytek' dac is new to me :-?.
P.S. I tried the RME Audio ADI-2 DAC FS and it didn't work. Probably
needs a USB-hub between (not tested).

apparently the device uses the xmos usb chip, so there is a good chance
that it may be recognised by the Squeezebox Touch.
As always, "buyer beware", make sure thta you can return the device if
it does not work (maybe check with the sellerbefore purchase for
compatability and your rig
