Try the Touch wired.
I have no problems playing 24/192 flacs using ethernet, but it hiccups
if I do it on wireless.

When I reduced the quality of DSD stream I have got the sound but with
lot of interrupts due to buffering. So it seems that the main issue is
wireless connection. When I look into the strength of the WiFi signal at
the Squeezebox Touch it shows me: 100% !
Does it mean that DSD reproduction is
Hi,
I am running LMS 7.9.2 under MAC OS Mavericks on Mac Mini. I have
Squeezebox Touch with installed software version 7.8.0. I installed DSD
Player plug-in (latest version is 1.0.1) and I also configured it to use
DSD over PCM. In the advanced-> File Type I enabled DSD playback for dsf
and dff
^^ Hmm, well...after trying 7.8, for what it turns out no good reason
after all; I'm having some issues with it. Any -easy- way, to roll-back
to 7.7?
Thanks

OK, thanks Gary. I guess what I was asking was...just installer 7.7 over
7.8, will roll it back; keep all my settings...and the players will go
back as well?
Which is the latest stable 7.7? Thanks for the

7.7.3 is the latest stable official release LMS. I'm 99% sure

Gary, mostly it was with the SB app, on my iPad Mini last night. MOG was
very flaky; like half the time, when I'd pick a song to play...I'd

own library, and then like half the time with MOG when it wasn't

I think this was the Community Squeeze see
Someone on CA just suggested to me, that LMS 7.8 supported straight .DSF
(no need to wrap it in an FLAC container).
I downloaded the latest beta, and can't seem to get it to work. Was I

In principle, which machine I use to convert to DoP does not matter.
All I have are Macs - so my question remains: what are the optimal

Just try something , if it works

Thanks. I suspected something like that would be needed. I am a bit of a
novice when it comes to virtual machines. As far as things that work
well in your experience: which VM do you use,

I seem to have all the pieces necessary to play DSD from my SB Touch,
except one: the ability to convert my DSD files to DoP. Any Mac users
here with a suggestion?
Thanks

John, thanks again! It works via USB connection! I am happy :-) Amazing
this SBT with the EDO app. Shame on Logitech (again)! They really don`t
have any idea what a fine piece of art they give up there.

Hi John, yes it is confusing a bit. I have found this Matrix DAC on the
DSD Database
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgVhKcl_3lHfdFVyenBBNjNpQ2lieG81WGpqQTNfVUE#gid=0
According that database even its digital inputs can handle DoP. I have
asked the Chinese main office from Matrix

Wow! Thanks John! That was really new to me. I was dreaming of the LUMIN
but with the SBT + EDO, a suitable DAC is all I need! I just ordered the
Matrix X-Sabre DAC. USB connection should work,
Actually you CAN play a DSD file through a Touch as long as you DoP
encode it. There are a couple different ways out there to take a DSD
file and DoP encode it which producesa 176.4 WAV or FLAC that you can
include in your files that LMS manages just like any other file. This is
NOT converting to

Thanks very much for your explanation. I was not aware that this can be
done.
At the moment, I have neither DSD downloads, DSD compliant DAC, or USB
connection.
However, for future reference, could you provide some detail about the
ways to DoP encode a DSD download?

I currently have EDO installed on my touch, but only using coax into my
Oppo 105. If I were to download a DSD from Acoustic Sounds would I need
to use the Async USB to play and or take advantage of the full
resolution ? Thanks
DSD is not supported.

Use the Oppo to play the DSD files instead. Either from USB drive or via
Network (smb).

No Mac needed, neither jRiver. All you need is an extern USB disk,
connected to the Oppo. If you have an iPad then you can use the Media
Control HD app.
