Thanks rayman, I followed the instructions myself but when it gets to
squeezebox server, the only option is to stop server.
My nephew is also trying it now...

Hi everyone, it turns out he's been doing a factory reset and doesn't
know how to clear and rescan.
Can someone give me step by step instructions for this procedure please

With TinySBS you may be able to get the full pathname and filename from
the context menu for the affected tracks. Touch-and-hold on a track
name to bring up the context menu, and scroll to see if there is info
on the pathname and filename. It could be under "More".
Clear-and-rescan is different f
They both use an external hd, as do I. I've passed on your advice and
need to ask if clear and rescan is the same as a factory reset?

Assuming you're not using the Touch's built-in server (TinySBS), use the
web ui to drill down to see the specific pathname and filename for each
of the tracks. One of them is most likely invalid for one reason or
another. Also, first be sure that the rescan is a full
clear-and-rescan.
