I'd recommend you taking a look at Windows Home server. I found it not
only works with the Touch reliably it also backs up your PCs and gives
you access to your files when away from home. I paid £72 for my copy.

If the Sheva/Guru-plug is ruled out then the next step in low power
usage is http://www.fit-pc.com.
I did consider this for a while, but personally my storage requirements
are just a tad larger, and I would have to have external USB harddrives
connected.
So I choose to buy a atom based mini-ITX
I have already read about Sheevaplug.
It sounds amazing, but I am not really sure if I would be able to set
up the Linux system although the step-by-step instructions sound okay -
I am really no Linux expert.
So if I decide to go the external server way in the future, I still
think about the pros
For the moment, I am okay with the rudimentary internal server.
But of course it's nice to know that we can switch to an external
server with extended possibilities (and extended power consumption :-(
