Well I have just picked up an Ipad and loaded the Ipad Ipeng app onto
it. What can I say, WOW, what a difference to my old Ipod touch,
absolutely fantastic, just what I was hoping for.
Cheers Ipeng

Sorry, I still don't understand. What do you mean by key command? I'm
not aware that there is anything where response should depend on
orientation, especially things like menus that are being retrieved from
the server.

I thought about that, too, but he did send me diagnostics mails from
within the App.

Yep, that's exactly what I mean.
I will try as you suggested and see how I get on.

Ummm. I thought you would know. I mean: is this an iPhone or an iPod

Could you send me a diagnostics mail? You do that by tapping on the
e-mail link under help.
It's an Ipod touch 2nd generation 'I think?'

Did you send the mail twice? You did not write anything in it so it's
abit hard to distinguish, but I think I've got you. You are on iOS
4.2.1, right? This also fits a 2G iTouch.
Admittedly, iPeng will not be as
Hi, yes I did send it twice, 4.2.1 correct.
When you select an album then hold down over a track to enter 'Song
info' I find that when viewing in 'potrait' the keys are not very
responsive, it's a bit hit and miss if this will work, (I am unable to
enter 'song info) however, if I view in
Do you mean that the gesture is difficult to do? Or what do you mean by

Hi.
Is there anyway I can speed up the Ipeg interface with my SBT. Last
night I found it a little sluggish at times. And knowing how well the
Ipod 'worked' with itunes, surely I must be able to get it working as
quickly as that?

It communicates with your server or mysqueezebox.com
So speediness in many views depends on these

Which iOS hardware and OS version is this?
Mnyb is right, iTunes has all the data on the device, iPeng has to read
it from the server.
Have a look at the FAQ on penguinlovesmusic.com (there's a link in
iPeng under help, too), there are some performance considerations
written there.

Right, I see.
version 7.6.1
I have been streaming from my office PC which uses windows xp, I will
try with the HD connected to my HTPC, this uses W7.
I also had nearly all but one of the Ipeng's setup options on, I guess
this will not help things either.

7.6.1 should be pretty fast. The server also sounds fast enough unless
its perpetually rescanning. Again: which hardware is iPeng running on?
How big is your current playlist?
