I have my sub set up behind the listening area about 15ft from the rig.
I have experimented with a long digital out from the Transporter to an
MSB DAC that is close to the salve amp, then short interconnect to sub.
Interestingly enough I originally was just using a good quality 20ft sub
interconne

To put it into perspective, it is nice to sometimes listen to 24/96
files.
But the vast majority of recordings are good old reedbook CD , further
very few are recorded in such quality that they merit from 24/96
treatment anyway.
So you can relax and listen to the 99,9% available music that is no

Yes I am using a Mod Squad Deluxe Line Drive which is a passive
"preamp"
As of right now
Thank you Ralph. I already have a SB Radio which I enjoy and HAD a Boom,
3 of them in fact and all had muddy sound. Thankfully Logotech took care
of it and gave me a Touch instead.
As far as the EAD and Touch go. The EAD/Touch combo sounds better to
me than just the Touch alone. I will ask if the
Could be interesting Touch's DAC chip is most likely superior, but then
again it's much more to it in a complete DAC implementation, it is also
a passive pre involved ?

I miss much of my old stuff to, but I got a new idea recently sell it
cheap or give it away to friends and family then you can revisit it :)

Oh how I miss my Infinity RS-1s and then Betas, with my Shotgun speaker
and interconnect cables. I still have my QuickSilver mono tube amps and
my Pereaux 2150 ( for the bass modules). I miss my VPI TNT TurnTable and
VPI record cleaner too. I still have all my records. Probably should

Afiak EAD was the only ones that used ST cables back then, it is not the
same cable nor is it the same transcievers and recievers as Tos, optical
can be finicky about such things.. It migth not work at all.
Coax seems to be the natural choice here,it is usually better
implemented than toslink in

I just got my Touch on Friday ( 4/15), love it.
I have an Enlightened Audio Design ( EAD) DSP 7000 DAC. I have been
using a ST glass fiber between it and my EAD T7000 transport. They are
both circa 1990s. So I hooked up the Touch via its analog output to my
Mod Squad Deluxe Line Drive ( passive).
