Well, Im pleased to report that my Touchs buffering problem has been
cured by a pair of homeplugs! Many thanks to GreyBeard for that
suggestion.
I did try to get the wi-fi set-up working first changed the Ethernet
cable; repositioned the router; changed the routers wireless channel.

(1) Move player close to router and hard wire it to test connection from
pc to router
(2) If the player still re-buffers, replace cable from PC to router. It
could have been damaged when installing new PC.
(3) If the re-buffering stops then either hard wire or use home plugs to
hard-wire through y

Think about what could affect the network streams such as
* Download managers, network optimisers etc - these utilities typically
adjust TCP setting to suit bulk download and can affect streaming
applications. Often their effects can only be reversed by rchanging the
registry.
* Security s/w that
Couple of temporary things to try for diagnosis:
- Try Touch closer to router but still using WiFi
- Turn off your computers anti-virus & firewall (LMS stop & restart
wouldn't hurt either after these are disabled)
- Using any software players? If yes, don't use them
