Exactly. That the Touch -"will only talk to devices than can install and run a copy of Squeeze Box Server"- is a basic characteristic of all Squeezeboxes. Many NASs are 'too fussy' -- or more precisely, too closed and/or too underpowered -- to run SBS. These NASs may be fine for their intended use

I am contemplating getting the SB Touch. I am wondering about my set-up. Do you need a fully operational desktop computer running for the Touch to access the music (for example, with Itunes running)? Or can I put all of my music on a NAS Server (like the Lacie 2 Big which has much lower power cons
