Is there a way to transfer my itunes folders from my desktop to my USB
storage in order to avoid scan from TinySBS (as you know from my thread
I've never had a complete library scan). Is it going to work? How does
it work? TinySBS recognizes Itunes library and doesn't need to scan? Do

As I see there is no other way than to reduce sizes from cover files to
less than 120 kb. Knowing that I probably used image files larger than
500 kb, thah those were gif, jpg and even BMP, that in some album
folders I saved pdf of lyrics and stuff...I reconsidering what to do, I
got about 3.000

Look, you don't realy need to embed images back to your mp3's. Just
Thanks Mike but I would like to keep embedded images in my mp3 files
cause I like to have album art in my ipod or whatever. To create my mp3
tags I use Tagrename, and I can't do what you say in Mp3tag, which I
guess is not a free program. I don t want to be stubborn but I don't
know why I think

ok, but if you fail to find a bypass 1TB HDD is about $100. You can
maintain Touch adopted version of your library... you need a backup
I discarded some music folders in order to see If there were any with
problems and again it crashes at 99% scanned, what can be wrong? I
happened twice at 99%, is it a bad joke??

I had a similar problem at first. I could never finish a complete scan
with an attached HDD. What worked for me was having each album folder
with only the music files (FLAC, mp3) and just ONE cover.jpg (not much
larger than 500x500) per album folder. None of my music files have
embedded album
Look at page 2 of the thread cited below to see how I solved a similar
problem with MP3Tag as explained by JJZolx:

I didnt have a successful initial scan, so I don't know how to make it,
I'm wondering whether to install 7.5.0 firmware because I got 7.6.0 and
maybe this firmware is causing problems.
It would be very

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you :)
Well, for me collecting things... books, CD's, LP's, coins... is just a
hobby. I like it and I spend lot of my time building up
Squeezebox is connected to internet through ethernet in order to have
better connection without ups and downs, and there is a USB hard drive
connected to the Touch one Lacie Stark 1 TB.
and my problem keeps going on...tired very tired

Yes, there is, but not an easy one. It looks like one/some of the
images are to big for Touch to handle them, so you have to find and
resize them. If I were you I would do it this way:
1. make a full backup;
2. add

Have had a successful
Are you running with a USB hard drive connected to the Touch or are you
running SBS on a separate computer? I wasn't quite sure since you
mentioned it was connected with ethernet.
