Don't be fooled by audio quest or Kimber or any other silly brand , you
can get cables that cost 100 times more that actually performs worse .
I totally agree. It is more important
Hi,
I'm new in the forum and with a new squeezebox touch (only 2 days of the
new magic toy ;)).
But... The first disappointment. I think!
When I go to the characteristics of my flac files, i note that the
bitrate are downsampling to 705 kbs. It is possible change that?
Thank you
A 44.1/16 wave file has a bit rate of 1,411kbps. FLAC, of course,
losslessly compresses that, usually reducing the file size to 40-60% of
the original. So the bit rate you are quoting is par for the course and
there is nothing at all to worry about. (The actual FLAC bitrate will
vary throughout
Search the forum. The 705 is an artificial number reported by Lms. The
touch does full 24/96 flac files with no down sampling or compression.

Thank you for everything
It probably depends on your equipment, including cables. Why not try
both and keep the one that sounds
Yeas the reported number for downsampling is a bug it 24/192 is
downsampled to 24/96 by SoX and this is totally transparent you can't
hear that .
Bug howso ? Apparently they never wrote any software routine to fetch
the actual avarage rate done by transcoding so they use a place holder
with the
