I've managed to get the Touch to play through a USB DAC but it seems to
have killed the internal sound effects. I've made sure the volume is up
and the appropriate options are selected, and tried several reboots. Is
this to be expected, and can I bring them back if so? If not, does
anyone know
The problem usually has to do with ALSA card numbers. The music goes
to the default ALSA device. The schemes for USB change what actual
device is called default so the musiv goes to the USB DAC. The
effects channel is hardcoded to go to device 2. When a USB DAC is
