The saving grace with Amazon is that they still have good customer
service. Amazon is sending me a replacement order and arranged for UPS
to pick up the return item.

This is more likely to be an issue with Logitech selling refurbished

I just received a second Touch from Amazon today - brand new, all

Because of the hassle of sending the Touch back to USA from Japan I
opted to keep it and get a partial refund from Amazon.
Mine has fingerprints on the screen, scratches and scuff marks on
internal packaging, scratches on and around the optical jack, and the
power socket shows obvious signs of us

My recent Touch purchase was also interesting.
My order was not from Amazon, I ordered it from a local Hungarian PC
webshop. Their central store is located in Germany.
Actually everything looks as brand-new. The paper box was glued down
with that round film on the edge. Then the inside black box
Just reporting in -- my Touch from Amazon arrived this afternoon. The
box was completely sealed and showed no signs of having been previously
opened. The Touch itself was pristine. It started up just fine, updated
itself, then connected to the LMS and played fine.
Sorry the OP didn't have the sa

Yes the metal stand is not blue :) ;)
Does it work? Any problems? Probably just fine in operation. Might be
a return that got mixed up with new product. New Touch's have plastic
film to be removed from the screen and metal stand.

It's a bummer, as I am in Japan and returning this is going to be a
hassle, and won't be cheap. And of course there is a good chance Amazon
won't have a 'new' one left to send me.
Ggr..
It must be Logitech at fault, as I bought it via Amazon international
sales (not a merchant), and I do
