I ran the test case for systemd on a 16.04.1 desktop live system with an
USB ethernet device. I confirm that naming still works as intended, MAC
naming can be disabled with the /dev/null symlink, and the readlink
calls are gone.
(Again, note that this was merely the side issue, not the main boot

- network-manager-openvpn
- network-manager-openvpn-gnome
After that there was an "import OpenVPN profile" button on the "new VPN"
dialog

set to /64.
using isc-dhcp-client 4.3.3-5ubuntu12.2, bug is fixed; dhcpv6 prefix is

Note, there hasn't been any debian installer fix yet, as we don't even
understand what's actually happening there. There has just been an SRU
to systemd/udev to fix the "No such file or directory" error message in
udev rules, but apparently that was not the actual problem.

that can depend on many things - transient error happen and are hard to track
down. Usually reasonable and fixable issues turn out to occur often and also
are reproducible.
The few transient ones just show up every now and then, but after a certain
type is seen often enough debugging can beg

@michael I would have expected no input as well, but why is the dash
freezing like that? Something must incorrectly handle whatever is being
