I recently started using ubuntu 20.04, I connected it to my 2.4ghz Wi-Fi, at
first the wifi worked fine, but suddenly the wifi stopped connecting, and after
a few seconds it said "unable to activate network". I checked the "additional
drivers tab" and it showed my wifi

Thanks, this looks good to me but out of an abundance of caution (this
is sudo, after all), I'm going to get Marc from the security team to
take a look -- it seems the upstream fixes for the CVE are a bit
different from the ones currently in Ubuntu and I'd like him to verify
that we think upstream
Oh I see - this was for shared libraries but I suspect it is also
affecting setuid binaries as well?

Ok, need to patch debootstrap to switch to usrmerge by default + make it
list usrmerge package; then update script in ubuntu-meta adds it to
minimal. Will upload all that to bileto ppa and test upgrades since non-
usrmerged systems.

You may also want to consider just having Suspend be a fallback option
before PowerOff. These days users are much more likely to have a laptop
that suspends properly and prefer that to happen and just quickly grab a
charger and continue instead of having their computer do a full
poweroff.
