Are you referring to the HP LaserJet 1020 Printer? This printer will not work with Trisquel. It requires a driver plug-in and non-free firmware which has to be downloaded separately. Nobody here would recommend and it isn't ideal for GNU/Linux use in general because of these problems. Thi

When you're right right you're right. Here's a version with GPL applied. The reason I didn't have it on there before was it was written as quick fix for my one machine. I guess now that I've handed it out, the license becomes important. The irony is, the GPL is longer than the software :-D

I'm running XFCE. I keep thunderbird open at all times and therefore it boots at restarts too. I haven't had any issues. I'd suggest trying to recreate the problem in another desktop environment and see if it's specific to your desktop environment.
