As long as we can make sure that ABrowser does not:
- Spy on its users
- Track any information
- Become unfree software in any way
I don't have any problems with ABrowser including advertisement.
Mozilla is a company and has to get its money from somewhere. That's how it

I don't know any gui application to recursively rename files. I'm afraid you
need to do some scripting job.
Maybe rpl will be useful.

Little analogy: trisquel is based off of ubuntu.
Take the rest of your comment and replace google with canoncial.
The laptops are from UK and they have around the same keyboard layout as I
want. Some sticker seems to be a good alternative as others have commented.
Was little afraid it would be the US layout.
I did some research and found that X60 has the problem with high pitch noise
when on battery.
Almost, except the up/downstream relations don't match.
I've tried Chromium before, and I honestly don't get what the big deal is.
Far as I could discern, it isn't any faster or more lightweight than Firefox
these days.
*shrug* It's about what I expected. I'm glad there was a response at all, and
at that, a huge one for this site; it was on the front page of this site's
articles for a long time (something like a month and a half) because of all
the comments. Most was negative, but some was positive.
Yes, it is true that Chromium is based off of code created by Google, but it
is still considered a lot more open than the non-free Chrome browser.
Chromium is actually less restricive than Firefox as there is no trademarked
graphics or related assets that force the Trisquel teams to alter
@quantumgravity i think you make a valid point there. the fact trisquel is
based on ubuntu, is a BIG issue for me personally. infact, i'd say it's the
biggest reason, that i wasn't able to keep all my systems running trisquel
(my now failed new years resolution).
actually, when i heard about this ad thing in mozilla, it did make an impact
on me. i use Tor Browser Bundle, which while firfox-based, will never
include ads, as ads = tracking/privacy issues - for most of my web surfing.
i am using the minimal uzbl a lot more. but, i do still have
Try removing the file ~/.config/dconf/user.
Hi nbd,
try to find the correct device domain for your graphics controller with the
lspci command. You should search for VGA compatible controller... here it
is this way:
$ lspci | grep -i vga
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: [controller name]
Then, take the numerical code in the

personally, i'd say your @hotmail.com might be a bigger issue, then encrypted
DNS...
Its a bullshit email I had since 1997.
You genius could find something useful when searching for packages with
batch rename in their descriptions:
$ apt-cache search batch rename
gprename - Complete batch renamer for Linux
gwenrename - Batch renamer tool for KDE
id3ren - id3 tagger and renamer
kipi-plugins - image
If Chromium has the questionable bits removed, and user does not sign into a
Google account, Where is the remaining trouble?

By continuing to base Trisquel on Ubuntu, using ppas, reporting bugs, etc,
are we not halping Canonical? Parabola is helping Arch; Bnewsense is helping

Mozilla should have no problem getting its money according to this thread:

ads = tracking/privacy issues
If you have some facts why this should be true in general, then please go
ahead and explain them to us.
I can't see any reason why this should be true.
Technically, it is perfectly possible to show a banner of an online-shop
without sending any data to nsa or
Click on Add/Remove Applications. Search for rename. There are some
results. I never try anyone so you could do it and post which of them is
better or has the skills you want to for your purpose.
Now I get it. I didn't know that scripting files had a common name. I always
called scripting for Windows (DOS not PwerShell or others) batch and
scripting for linux shell scripting and I always supossed that other OS has
its own names for it. Good to know that now.
I probed Live System 32 and 64bits, on both there is system monitor on system
configuration.
I probed 6.0.1 Live System 32bits and 64bits. Worked fine. However there are
a mistake in Trisquel as it is claiming that it is 6.0 instead of 6.0.1 on:
* boot screen menu
* Loading up Trisquel.
* welcome on terminal onced logged in ()automatically in Live System.
* When the system is called
QUestion, is there any table/documentation about Trisquel requirements,
32bits Live system, 64bits Live system, 32bits installed, Trisquel-mini, etc.
TO sum up something, when the system loads up in Trisquel live system 32bits
its memory consumption is 198MB while on 64bits 319MB.
Well, I agree that there certainly is a problem and personally I'd rather see
mozilla doing a fund raising campaign like wikipedia or gnu.org /fsf.
There won't be any tracking.

Abrowser 27 is ready and the ad system has been removed.
I've installed Trisquel 6.0.1 64bits; memory consumption is 299MB at startup.
Issues:
* Windows and effects management icon is missing if you change the theme to
Adwaita.
* I set my keyboard to Spanish layout at installation but the truth is that
the layout when I typed was in USA despite
Mozilla already pushed the ad system in Firefox 27? That sure was quick and I
figured it would be in the next release.

Ask Trisquel and/or GNU what the non-free issues are... they're the ones
saying

Thanks for checking Legimet. Did you use the license check method/scripts
from https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=28291 or something
else?
No, I just checked the license headers of a few files of unknown license in
the copyright file.
I think it shouldn't be too difficult to just check all such files. I did a
grep UNKNOWN on the copyright file, and there's only 325 lines in the output.
That may be an old listing and they should revisit the codebase.

Greetings Trisquel Community! As a new user I want to introduce myself by

experience with Trisquel has been great. Thanks to all who have made the
