I think that was deprecated in favor of using window tiling or otherwise
using multiple Nautilus windows.
In the "System settings", there are two entries that deal with languages. One
for the language of the applications and another one for the keyboard layout
(mainly).
Please respect the community guidelines and do not provide "fixes" that
involve installing proprietary software. Proprietary software is not the
solution. It is the problem.

Trisquel site and the versions on my netbook, and when I do a sudo apt-get
upgrade, nothing happens. System returns everything is up-to-date.

Today I tried trisquel 7.0 on two laptops at my friends' just out of
curiosity.
It worked perfectly on an Asus with intel graphics (can't remember the model

Try Trisquel 6. I had resolution problems in Trisquel 7, too, but not in

My understanding of the AMD line-up is that they too are shipping with
similar features so I wouldn't exactly suggest jumping to AMD. It would
probably be best to avoid x86 altogether, but it's not without its

At least it's technically possible. If it's in a language that even the
developer couldn't understand (I.E. binary code) then it's not Free Software.
