Should we be concerned about this?
I don't know about making it impossible to use unsigned extensions without
recompiling as a security feature, but it could be that Mozilla really just
doesn't want people to see browsers being slowed down by malware extensions
due to users' stupid decisions, being called "Firefox". If that's
BTW On the subject of chat software, the Pidgin homepage says:

Unlike a lot of software, realtime communications programs can't really be
tested alone. It needs at least two people, and for testing conferencing
programs, three or more. Just wondering if anyone knows of any organised
working group for testing free code software for text, voice, and video

I think you mean Mozilla, as a CORPORATION:

Microsoft is also having a new policy where they keep the majority of details
regarding patches/updates a secret:

True. The SDW (solder down) models such as the 3160SDW and 7260SDW are indeed
integrated. I haven't noticed this.

I just remembered that radeon might be blacklisted. See if there is some file
in /etc/modprobe.d/ that contains "blacklist radeon".
If there is one, edit the file (as super user) and put a hash (#) in front of
the line. Then doupdate-initramfs -uand reboot.
I must be missing something. What exactly is the objection here? This issue
doesn't directly impact Trisquel's browser. Is it more along the line that
Mozilla's prohibiting third party plug-ins that don't go through an approval

Yea- much of what is removed is because there are issues with it as it
relates to freedom. It's not necessarily that it can't be fixed, but there
aren't the resources to fix it. If someone wanted to maintain a Chromium
build that complied with the stance of the Trisquel project then it would
I think that telegram has a function called "private chat", is means that you
can chat device to device, not device-server-device.

I have been trying to fix this for a few days now. No matter how I do I can

I can easily get all the EDID info with get-EDID so there is no problem with

Ok, now telegram is on my list. But I want to hear about more alternatives

No doubt, just telegram, and a lot better that crappy crapsapp. You can
download a desktop version, and it is portable. In telegram only encryption
is propietary.

That's not true :)

IceCat has a Windows version :)
Nothing new. But can't believe how horrible it is.
That's right. When Chromium was much cleaner and had less features some years
ago it was super fast and that's how it gained its popularity. Nowadays that
isn't true, it's a Ram-eating monster much slower than firefox. It's still a
very nice browser but it's non-free software.
At least you can now nicely recommend non-branded versions of FF...

The graphics should work too.. there is still a possibility of an issue.. as
System76 does provide special "drivers".
