Run memtest. it will tell you the memory clock if you're interested.
I don't think you can fix that. The client relies on very specific packages
version and there are a lot of dependencies. I don't think the dependency
hell can be easily solved (if at all). Trust me, I do speak from experience
here.

Hello everybody,
thanks for your kind advice!
I'm proud to say that i successfully removed 1g of ram from an older notebook

Now I have 2gig and it also shows up in htop.

Forgot to pay attention when inserting the chip.
how about using vrms and the trisquelize script to remove all the non-free
components from that system? I know we can't isntall trisquel packages into
it, because of the different architecture, but maybe removing the non-free
components would be enough? Ubuntu is the basis for Trisquel after
I guess it depends on what one considers "KISS".
I just don't like to have things installed that aren't necessary. If those
are necessary, I don't see any reason to remove them. I did, however, remove

I honestly have no idea. But if you have a file that you want me to test I

APT's logs are in /var/log/apt (probably what you are looking for). dpkg's
logs directly are in /var/log. The Changelogs of the individual packages are
in the subdirectories of /usr/share/doc.
The dependencies are provided by the PPA you added. However, "you have held
broken packages". You can list those packages from the "Synaptic package
manager" in the "System settings": click on the "Custom filters" button in
the bottom-left part of the interface and then choose "Broken" above.
Nouveau doesn't. At least Kepler and older generations.
Thanks for calling my attention to these files. I am pretty new to really
using and maintaining a Linux distro. My source.list looked OK but may
source.list.d had references to non-trisquel repos. I deleted them. :)
Thanks! This did it!
Intel GPUs capped at 60hz output. Not 60fps. LoL.
Games I playing run more that 60fps. And I uncap some games, it is easy.
The only problem is GPU, I need something more compatible that my gt520.
Example.
Now I playing Open Arena at 144fps, Stunt Rally 2.5 70-90fps.
Very few games will actually run at more than 60 FPS.
Source regarding the Broadwell 60fps cap? (trying to find it, haven't thus
far managed to)
Yeah, it looks like some sort of script assumed you were running Debian and
tried to enable the non-free and contrib repositories.
Anyway, you can go to "Software & Updates" in the system settings to remove
those software sources you want to remove.
So.you're telling me you've got a monitor with a refresh rate of >60/s?
The bad thing, is that: you paying backd00rs when you buy an Intel CPU.
Your sources seem to be a bit messed up. Can you please post the content of
/etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/apt/sources.list.d?
You could work on bringing ARM support for Trisquel, that's one thing that is
currently missing (would bring PC board and Chromebook support to Trisquel)
All PCI-E GPUs need blobs
Excellent and thoughtful response! Many thanks!
Guys, I made a 24x24 SVG file and loaded it into the place in the attached

I meant PNG. Typo :)
I actually tired loading a PNG image and it wasn't viewable at 48x48. I guess
I'll try 24x24 to see if it works.
I definitely agree SVG would be better in general.
