Is it? It's by Annette Hurst, the layer. Op-ed, basically a personal rant
about what should never be.
I like it. Lots of action. Maybe a small amount more at the beginning about
the motivation behind the story and why Tux is trying to put an end to the
Snow King's reign? It's the only suggestion I've got.
"What I don't understand is how this can threaten the GPL?"
It can't and doesn't. The article is a bunch of rubbish.
"The GPL is a detailed legal document that lays out exactly what the user of

That looks pretty decent. Thanks for pointing me to MtPaint. I works nicely
and has a minimalistic footprint which I prefer.
All software *directly* from Mozilla have a trademark policy applied to
them that restricts one of the essential freedoms. Trademark policies
aren't agains the free software philosphy, but just as we evaluate
licensing issues, we also consider that some trademark policies go too
far.

What I don't understand is how this can threaten the GPL? The GPL is a

more general concept. The GPL is a specific license.

Actually, on second thoughts, the article's link between API and software
more broadly is tenuous at best, and the aeticle's argument has very little
substance to it.
Ars Technica have written an article about the outcome of the Oracle vs
Google trial:
http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/05/op-ed-oracle-attorney-says-googles-court-victory-might-kill-the-gpl/
They argue that the verdict, that use of the Java APIs was "fair use" could

After a 15-30 minutes, the iMac gets really hot. This is after I ran the
first command again. The fans don't run unfortunately.
I'm trying to use Trisquel 7 on a 2007-2008 iMac. It gets hot, and I don't
think that the fans run to cool it down.
I ran the following instructions (thank you Legimet and Magic Bananna) in the
terminal:
sudo modprobe applesmc coretemp
echo applesmc | sudo tee -a /etc/modules

Well, bad news
Veracrypy doesn't allow to make encryped cd-r.
You need the Traveler Disk Setup option in the Tool menu.
It seems this option only exist on Veracrypt for Windows.

The TrueCrypt's licence on wikipedia depends of page language. Sometime we
have Apache 2, or Apache 2 and TrueCrypt Licence, or Apache 2 with some part
under TrueCrypt Licence. Wikipedia is just not update.

I using mypaint on Thinkpad x200t, works perfect, but not so advances as GIMP

You should not sacrafice your living standards in the pursuit of libre

Indeed, mypaint is awesome.

To be or not to be.
Have you ever cut grass for weeks or months at the time for a 20 bucks?
I did, To many times at young life.
Have you ever painted a house and scrape iron fences from rust to be
repainted again?
Done that..
Did you ever had to shine shoes and boots for someone?
Pixel art programs are also worth it (I know 2 of them in the repo, can't
remember the names right now).
What I would do in your boat:
- Online services? $$$ and also javascript, most likely non-free.
- Real Cisco equipment? Besides the money, is it required, or just
recommended for the course?
- Run Packet Tracer on Wine: sounds like an option, though I'd add some
Apparmor and Firejail to Wine.
I have made it more suitable for a tile by making the image twice the size,
then copying and pasting the image, and then rotating and flipping each part
so that it reflects on the x and y axes.
I do all the editing in MtPaint because it easiest to make simple pixel art
in for me.
The first noise image reminds me of this.
Another patterns coming for jpeg reading errors that might inspire you.
I had this capture I've made from a error of video playing in VLC.
It maybe should be modified but this is intresting as a pattern.

Should one use ppa-purge? for this? Or will it also cause the removal of

Use Apertium.
If you want to use Apertium graphically (in a user-friendly way),
install "apertium-tolk" (with the O letter). Of course, you can also
visit the project's official site and download the latest version and
dictionaries. And it's advised that you contribute to Apertium in some

Would you happen to know the hardware revision number of the model you're
using? You can typically find it on a small label on the device itself as an
extension of the model number; like for example "TP-LINK TL-WN722Nv2" (or v3,
v4, etc.).
Revision number is important to
