I fully agree with you, fbit. May I ask you, where you harvest your news? My knowledge and imagination limit me to the guardian and the intercept, so I would be happy to expand my sources. By the way, both the guardian and the intercept are apparently fairly ok when it comes to internet

@Pablo G you mean that you can use GNOME or Mate, you can remove GNOME packages using apt-get. The APT cache may have taken the space try to clear it: $ sudo apt-get clean

Can you try removing the graphics card and suspend it again? Last time I used trisquel in my low end biosed laptop it is able to suspend though it used an Intel onboard card.
