I don't think it's helpful to tell people to rebase their entire
working environment over one little snag. That leads to a dangerous
game of constantly re-installing and never getting anything done.
Note that there are lots of threads about updating software to newer versions
in the forums
Actually they only only need one thing to be learned: compiling from source.
That's useful for small packages which don't require new libraries, but not
for larger ones such as WebKit in which case my original advise still stands.
I would look the other way if somebody decided to try Trisquel, a free libre
OS, on a proprietary platform using Virtualbox.
There is one even better way, look for a router that has all versions
supported. Such as the netgear wndr3800.
It has two different versions, one for china, one for everything else so
yeah.
But, both are supported so yeah.
:)
I believe the only versions of virtualbox that was free was from 4.0-4.2.
Although virt-manager is way, way better than anything else.
Thanks again for your comments.
I tried upgrading to latest kernel with but it didn’t solve it. I even
tried an old wifi usb key without success, it is not free supported.

But LibreOffice now has a right-to-left option. Thanks! :D :D: D
Whenever a piece is hardware is not supported (or badly supported), you can
hope that a more recent kernel will solve the problem. It takes a few
minutes to try, following the instructions on https://jxself.org/linux-libre/
But, again, I doubt a more recent kernel will support your Wifi

If you need more up to date software than what is offered by Trisquel you
should consider using a distribution with more up to date software, such as
Parabola or Hyperbola.
Libreoffice can be updated via PPA. These commands will add it and then you
can install the version you want via
You might have luck with TP-LINK TL-WN722N(UN) Ver:1.10 if you can still find
one. Later versions probably won't work with libre systems. They (oems) buy
cheap chips in bulk and change specifications without notice.

The button at https://trisquel.info/ for donations using Flattr is broken,
the account seems suspended.
If you contribute to Trisquel please consider using Liberapay and Monero too.
Are there any other similar services coherent with Free software freedoms?
Thank you,
so do we (Trisquel users) need to upgrade kernel? Or you are saying that as
an alternative to see if I can solve the wifi thing?
About USB adpter, I saw Thinkpenguin is USA based and I am in Spain so the
shipping is not easy, I have had bad experiences recently with customs
Thank you for the reply.
Fn-F8 disables the touchpad and indeed if I disable it I can use a USB mouse
fine.
This suggests to me that there is something up with the touchpad itself, so I
will probably end up having to send it back.
However before I do that I'd like to check whether I have

The version I have in Trisquel is poorly handling right-to-left text.
How do I update LO?
