Thought I was crazy for a second, but I got it to work it seems.
On my macbook with macOS installed it works, as in the drive appears when I
hold option on start up.
However, on my macbook that I wiped and installed Ubuntu it does not appear.
So I guess one solution

That could work. Or a dialog at first login to configure accessibility
settings. Or a separate ISO

I believe you are talking about kernel errors. You can read them from the
terminal:

I'm trying to boot Trisquel NetInstall on my macbook. I used Etcher to write
the iso to the MicroSD card. But the drive doesn't seem to be available on
startup. No problem with the normal version though. When I plug the drive
into my computer the name says firmware as
Here's my workaround, which only works with an official Win10 installation
and the
original hardware of the host computer (mine is a refurbished Lenovo T420).

result is an intact unaltered computer that will run either its original

when I start the laptop with the recent Trisquel installation on it I can see
some code lines talking about some errors or missing things, it is when
computer is starting, and even when Trisquel graphic icon appears I can see
some rows of random coloured characters along the screen.
More often than not the (USB live) system is so slow to boot or complete the
boot that the screamer starts on its own.
There is actually nothing to disable. One only needs to know that she has to
move the mouse right after the live desktop environment starts. The screen
reader is only executed if the user does not interact with the system for
some time (tens of seconds?).
