Is cuban people allowed to participate in Fedora development, sames as
UK people do?
Software is one side, project is the other side.

They say it doesn't apply to them: "Fedora software in source code and binary
code form are publicly available and are not subject to the EAR in accordance
with ยง742.15(b)." Most of GitHub is probably also "publicly available" too
and exempt. But, Microsoft takes it further than they need to.
How is this any different from Fedora's export ban? You can use Fedora in
Cuba (the Cubans do not prohibit it), but you need to take it there first,
which is illegal (circumventing the US sanctioned embargo).

I highly recommend it. I find that a $7 PCI Atheros card works much
better than a $30 ThinkPenguin USB dongle, and now that you've installed
libreboot there's nothing stopping you.

Or else try this command:
lspci | grep Ethernet
Certain Atheros WLAN cards are recognized as "Ethernet controller" rather
than "Network controller". This is true for the two possible Atheros cards
(AR5418 and AR5424) that come with X60 series. Since his computer doesn't

Thank you. Yes I have just noticed that the problems might have started after
libreboot was installed, but not immediately after installing it. I removed
the Wifi card right after I got the X60s so the space is empty right now then
I have been using USB dongles. (maybe both AR9271)

Hey Masaru, in regards to the wifi problem, did you replace the wifi card
that came with the x60s when libreboot was installed? that might be the
issue.
Hello. My iPhone has succeeded tethering with Trisquel 8 via USB cable
directly by default. I am currently using Trisquel 8 mini with the x60s (btw
librebooting succeeded, maybe, thank you very much) and I cannot do it with
mini. Currently some problems are preventing it from WIFI access (I a
I tried a lot of things.
I think the latest thing I did was:
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
It looks like it does a lot downloading now. So maybe it works.
So I hope it will work, I will do a post, when the downloading is finished.
Can you successfully 'sudo apt update' and 'sudo apt upgrade' now?
I downloaded it from github and installed it, but can't get it to run on
Mate, XFCE, icewm, KDE, or Cinnamon. Maybe it's an indicator app that only
works on Gnome? I don't want to install Gnome just to try it. Sorry, can't
tell you anything about it other than that.
I tried this again:

This forum rejects any form of non free software. On
that forum you chose to ask how to install
specific non free software. Does
it add up?
On a banana forum, do you ask for plum recipes?

This post is kinda contradictory. On one hand Chris wants to avoid being
spied by Google or Amazon, in the other hand he doesn't care what proprietary
software can do by using that hardware.
Nadebula - Thank you for nothing . I will find another distrubution, with a
helpful forum.
You don't need permission to install non-free drivers and/or firmware on
Trisquel. However, we can't help you because of the community guidelines.
It isn't spam, its trolling at worst, at best he serious.
Either way, its not exactly supposed to be in this part of the forum. ;)
I see, well I disagree, Enoch, Elijah both were supposedly raptured in the
bible.
Just saying...
Don't get me wrong, I do believe there will be a rapture, but your timing was
so random, that I laughed.
I mean was it really that urgent you needed to put it in the wrong part of
the forum? Or in all caps,
Still, quality trolling if I ever saw it. Oh Jodiendo, you are getting soft

I have tried Trisquel OS, since I want to leave Debian OS, where all their

Unfortunately, I can't get my DTV card T982 from DVBSky to work in Trisquel,
as it needs one or more closed drivers, so if there are some who know if you
