I thought you were looking for a dictionary explaining the meaning of
computing terms, but "something like" a list of shortcuts sounds very
different.

What did you do? Were you installing/removing packages? It's possible
that something important got removed. Try running
$ sudo apt install trisque
perhaps something specific I saw a while ago was a cheat card that gave
shortcuts for using emacs (I think?). maybe something like this, that can
help me understand the directory structure of Trisquel.
Through messing around with the command line, I have somehow made it
impossible to login again to the GUI of main account I use on my system. I
think I will just be doing a re-install. But I would like to get some files
off of this user account before I do so.

Still no success on the IME front.
I found "Writing non-Latin languages" (via "All Manuals") and followed the
advice. I successfully installed both ibus-hangul and fcitx-hangul with all
their dependencies (as well as nabi). Trisquel's manual page says: "After

I've tried to mount the Guest Addition CDROM image. But VirtualBox said that
this ISO was not included in the main binary package (released under GPL v2).
If I wanted to use it I had to download it first.
Since the ISO image is not released as part of the GPL v2 licensed package, I

I can connect to the internet over wifi and ethernet without the VPN. Once
connected to the VPN no internet connection. Yes, I've tried to connect
through the GUI and through the terminal. I connect but no internet
connection. as soon as I connect to the VPN all internet traffic gone.

Thank you very much for Trisquel.
I have some feedback below, I hope some of it will be useful.
Overall and so far, I like Trisquel 9 much. No showstoppers for me. My
feedback below is only about those things that I do not like or that are
giving me some trouble. They are not representative of

Thank you for your advice - I think I understand your points.
In any case, it's also relevant for my learning curve to know why the ISO is
not showing up (as it should and as it did on other Debian-based distros).
If you could shed some light on that it would be great.
If I understand you correctly, you can connect to the Internet (without the
VPN) but once the VPN connection is established, you can't access any website
anymore. Am I reading you correctly? Also, have you tried connecting to the
VPN via the network manager GUI or the openvpn CLI?
I want to use the digitizer. Anyway this is awesome. Especially painting
materials are almost free of charge, no one can peep me is at work (maybe), I
do not have to handle oil, solvent, and care of dryness, storage for my
works. I am curiously more calm than excited.
It's a good idea to start studying GNU/Linux in VMs. And you have chosen a
good hypervisor for Windows. VirtualBox is almost free/libre as well as
beginner-friendly. In my practice, I'd also like to suggest beginners that
they start with VirtualBox.

Since you compose geometric pictures, then surely you'll need a vector image
editor like Inkscape but not a raster image editor like Gimp or Krita, etc..
You can try to find some good vector image editors by searching something
like "list of vector image editors".

I've only used Mullvad with OpenVPN. I'm VERY new to Linux and honestly could
never figure out how to install the app. I would give it a try if I knew how
to install it.
Do you have any suggestions or theory as to why I'm unable to get Mullvad
with OpenVPN to work ??

Cannot install by clicking on the link, must be opened in another tab for the

The Alt key solved the problem. But Krita still requires "at least OpenGL 2.0
or ES 2.0". The current installed version seems to be OpenGL 1.4. But I could
not figure out how to upgrade it nor install the newer version.
Because of the reasons, I mind to download it from their websites. Maybe th
This seems to be a similar problem, though. If I click "Settings" >
"Configure Krita...", a preferences window shows up. It sounds I should mark
the OpenGL checkbox but I cannot scroll down to the lower part of the window,
I guess maybe in the lower part of the window, there must be a button
