[Trisquel-users] Jami and Jitsi unreliable for video calls

2020-02-14 Thread anatom
Hello again! Over the last two weeks, both jami and jitsi have proven to be not as reliable as in the beginning. I feel dissatisfied because videos tend to freeze once every few minutes and sound quality is very variable (from excellent to barely understandable). This is true both for jami a

Hi there, I used few months ago both, though not on Trisquel but on another Debian derivative free distro (PureOS). For Jitsi, I was using the Jitsi Meet service with the Framasoft instance (https://framatalk.org). It was okay most of the time, though I had problems like no video sometime

The GnuPG package in Trisquel 8 does not seem to be vulnerable to maliciously crafted embedded filenames anymore (which is the vulnerability that enabled SigSpoof, as far as I remember). At least when I tested it, the embedded filename got sanitized correctly. I also checked Enigmail, and the

Whoops, I meant to say that GpgME enabled clients are not vulnerable to SigSpoof. I mixed that up.

There are certain packages related to "cataclysm" (or more precisely, "cataclysm-dda") in Debian's and Ubuntu's free/libre repositories (namely, main and universe) respectively. But the game only appears in Debian 10 or newer, or in Ubuntu 19.04 or newer. Therefore, it is too new even for i

Since direct PPPoE dialing once worked, a good OpenWrt router should work, too. You may want to borrow another OpenWrt router and fill in your account user name and password in the WAN settings. Please note that when you use a router, don't use PPPoE on your computer. Don't forget to delete

Yes, I always use sudo apt update and it never gave any error, it says: Hit:1 http://deb.leap.se/client release InRelease (and other hits) But as far as I try to install riseup: sudo apt install riseup-vpn leap-archive-keyring it says E: Unable to locate package riseup-vpn
