Thanks guys, your comments are really helpful. I'll read your articles

I heard that some countries made it illegal to decrypt css dvds, even though
it's the only way to watch those dvds without proprietary software. Does
anyone know which countries have this rule?
I noticed that the criminal justice system in my town works with proprietary

I have some questions -- but here's some background info first:

That sounds cool; thanks for the recommendation Fernando. Do you know about

Chris posted that Think Penguin may one day offer some web services. Some

I used Deja Dup a year or two ago. It allowed backup to an SD card ... maybe

Thank for the responses guys. I'm surprised at how popular Mini seems to be.
My computer is a pretty regular laptop. It has a dual core Pentium

faster.
Here are my specs (I think these are right):

Cool; I was thinking of getting Abrowser even if I use Mini. It probably

I hope to attend the one in Kitchener. Thanks for the info Lembas and Chris.
I haven't tried Mini, but I'm thinking about switching when the new edition

How do the two compare?
How do Midori and Abrowser compare, for example?

Replicant is not fully free on the Galaxy S2. Is it worth replacing Android?
Replicant on S2
Yeah good point; the pre-installed Android has a lot of proprietary stuff in
addition to those things that Replicant cannot avoid.
I booted into the phone's Download Mode, just to see what it's like. I have

Could anyone compromise the site? Will the compromiser be able to log into

I only have two xmpp buddies right now so it's not that big a deal. Unless
the hacker impersonates me.
But it doesn't cost anything to care about privacy in principle. And
