Not to mention that Bkuhn's a really cool guy. :) So Conservancy is a generally good place to be, if you want the benefits of organisation.

As mentioned, I am delivering a training, and unable to make an appearance. Hopefully it happens next week, and then I'll be able to attend. :)

Re: [Trisquel-users] Ubuntu = rolling release? (speculation)

True rolling release models are great for hobbyists, hackers and the average consumer. But it's nowhere near predictable and stable enough for business or related uses. I'm also old-fashioned, and like my stable, predictable releases. I'd rather wait an extra month or two for stability over

I'm ridiculously excited about this! Thanks, Chris.

Since I'll be in Mexico City conducting a public training at that time, it's unlikely I'd be able to drop in. But I hope to read any minutes that may be taken. :)

Why so much hate for GNOME 3? Seems to me that there are lots of improvements that are beneficial, and I actually quite like GNOME Shell. For those who don't like shell, maintaining the Fallback - but treating it as a normal WM - would be a better approach, right?

If you wanted this, I don't know why you'd choose this over Cinnamon. But that's just me.

I have had flawless, impressive performance on this from Trisquel. Which is job-critical for me, as I'm a trainer. As soon as I plug in to a projector, Trisquel does a good job autodetecting and turning on the screen.

How is this spamming? Do you know how many times I've gone to that Wiki page to find it somewhat confusing, and devoid of direction? There are many things I can help with, and all of them require I go through many manual steps (signing up for lists, emailing and initiating a conversation)

I'd love things to be cutting edge for development reasons, but I love Trisquel. What this means to me is, I need to throw my weight behind the development process and help Trisquel move towards these goals.

These hardware databases have been around as long as Linux has been. Thinking this is some how going to change anything is showing ones lack of understanding/experience in the “industry”. While I agree with Chris on the pragmatic aspect of this - that the databases don't help further our

I went ahead and put Replicant on my G1. I haven't been able to use my G1 for awhile since I moved off of T-Mobile (but I'll be going back to them next year). I honestly can say that most operations seem to be perfectly fine. I'd have to revisit the limitations, but because I wasn't trying

Though I've been around for some three years, using Trisquel daily, I've yet to really post in here. Part of my silence is laziness; that much comes from being a programmer. Another part is that I prefer to do the hard work of something before feeling the need to opine about it. However, in
