I have a Logitech H390 USB headset that is detected as such, but in the Sound
settings (default app), it is marked as "Disabled", and I don't see an option
to enable it so I can route sound input/output to it instead of my onboard
sound card.
How can I do this? Also, I searched the web for
i only made one statement so saying "once again" is just pretentious - and as
you did not bother to educate me as to what exactly is "the point" i
allegedly missed, then one can only assume that you did not actually have one

could you live without Guns 'n' Roses' "November Rain"?
says Soon.to.be.Free - without a hint of irony - how noble you are to
raise the ethical concerns of executing a little javascript that you do not
have
clearly though, if the main problem is the lack of maintainers and tech
support then forking is not a solution - the redundant parallel effort and
smaller user-base would be counter-productive
let me tell you what has spurred me the most into raising this issue

i appreciate that you are taking the time to be helpful here but i must say
that your response was not very encouraging
i read it as essentially:
* there were some co-ordination meetings in the past but not anymore
* there is a road-map but the sole maintainer does not refer

i notice you say you have left "the project" - are you saying you are no
longer a trisquel developer?
from what i see, you have been the one holding the dev team together for some
time and the only one i have seen to offer mentoring for newcomers
so as it would seem there
i installed with the net-install ISO yesterday - this got me a shell login
but no X - is this expected behavior?
this is perhaps why stas730 is complaining about no GUI?
i also prefer a dark theme - i dunno if one would be chosen as default but
probably not the ones you mentioned
note that trisquel8 has MATE (not GNOME) as the default desktop - it does
however come with a very nice dark theme called "dark mate" it is probably
the most appealing default dark
this is not true for the latest x86 release candidate
i also go immediately for nano on every new install but i had to install it
manually on trisquel8 - perhaps this is just an oversight tho - i noticed
several packages missing
#trisquel-dev IRC channel for example, is essentially dead - this
indicates to me that the trisquel dev community is very small indeed and so
splintering communications is a terrible idea
also it should be pointed out that, as i understand, this user forum is
actually a mirror of the
Ha-ha. Covering that Apple logo with a GNU sticker is first on my list. I
will give Trisquel a go. Also, I am an android developer. Has anybody used
Android studio and have you faced any problems with using openjdk and not the
proprietary oracle jdk?
I am planning to install Trisquel on a MacBook Air 2014. I have no problems
purchasing a Wi-Fi adapter. Are there any other problems other than the wi-fi
when using it on a MacBook Air?
If this doesn't go through from Sylpheed, I think I'll do that. Thanks for the
tip!
If it is it certainly happened at a very unfortunate time. Like probably most
here, I remember reading stories about samsung uefi laptops getting bricked
by linux but I'm assuming that simply switching from uefi to bios mode and
net-installing wouldn't cause a freeze like I've described?
Thanks for the replies everybody. I had suspected that the updated base of
Trisquel 7 would solve this problem, but if and when I get a working computer
I will definitely try your suggestion, Lembas, so thanks for that.

Further to my second question...the error message given when I try to boot
from the netinstall disc is "Machine check error". I expect it's related a
some bios setting, but quite which one I don't know.
Hi! I'm trying to get hardware acceleration working so I can run gnome shell.
The computer in question has a haswell i3-4130 processor with the HD4400
graphics chip. I tried installing jxself's latest linux-libre kernel but that
didn't seem to work. Is there anything else I can try or am I ou
This is wonderful! Many thanks indeed :)
That's interesting. My computer has the athlon 64 4600+ processor but with a
nvidia graphics card and I get the exact same problem with only the gnome
edition of trisquel - I cannot get past the log-in screen on the live cd and
if I install it then the screen goes black for a split second bef
r the record - Sudo was originally written as an experiment to destroy the

using Microsoft, there is no way to secure it. Don't write telling me that
