Oh... I see. I don't know if GNUnet supports replicating private (that
is: in this case GNUnet would still replicate your files, but they
wouldn't be advertised in the GNUnet searches), so we still need to talk
to the GNUnet project so as to ask if it provides such functionality,

According to the license on their GitHub project
(https://github.com/tahoe-lafs/tahoe-lafs/blob/master/COPYING.GPL), it's
released under the GPL (with some extra permissions), so it'd seem pretty
safe to say it's libre.
I want to keep my files private though.
Are you sure tahoe is libre?
GNUnet. :D

IF only there was a libre hosting website that you could store your files on
with completely free software.
A Cloud Storage one heh.
Yeah, dude has quite an interesting story..

I came across this regarding cock.li.

I was able to open an account at safe-mail without a phone number, but I
cannot get IMAP to work, either on evolution or sylpheed.
VFE requires javascript to sign up. Even after I enabled it, I got a message
saying "disable your ad blocker and reload the page".
Um...no thanks.
I'm not much
I haven't personally tried it but I know few folks are very happy with
mailinabox, and it seems also a relatively easy tool to use, so go for it.
Thanks guys!
"As you pointed out, the only real option is hosting your own mail."
What about https://mailinabox.email/?
Looks like a great e-mail provider, thanks for sharing!
Well, this is what I read. I'm no lawyer, but the terming seems vague. I
might be wrong. Hopefully a lawyer among us (I know there is one) will clear
it out.

That's about as good as it can be.
The phone number field was optional for me.
Yeah, I use riseup too :(

Well, I just tried creating an account with VFE without allowing the

The problematic part is indeed creating the account. Once the account has

I currently have a Riseup.net account, but their canary died a few months

Hi all...
I have experienced problems for several days with Openmailbox.org server. I
waited patiently for several days to get and send my emails. Today i did one
personal test. Still has 3 hours i am waiting to receive to my email the
answer. Still the same hours to my sender to wait for m
At this rate, I don't see how they'll convince anyone to pay if they can't
fix services that don't work. Hopefully they'll rectify that.
From what I’ve read OMB won’t be free indefinitly. So maybe’s the time
when they have to switch.
They run campaigns for funding every year, but it gets hard to justify
funding them if they aren't responsive to problems like this for such
extended periods of time.
I'll keep using OMP while email works, but I hope the Jabber issue will be
resolved
Yes, expired certificate, non functional XMPP and forum, and no way to
contact the developers (it returns an error)
H. Openmailbox just went down.
Yes, now working fine!
I do use it with K9 Mail app (Free software) on my Android.
People are receiving mails fine sent through openmailbox. Issue solved.
I hear OpenMailBox keeps one year logs of meta-data. Hmm, interesting. If I
were a user (which I'm not) I'd want to investigate more on it. Doesn't seem
to fit the best practices.
Their forums seem to have an expired certificate that is causing problems as
well. I noticed the error I was getting when trying to use their XMPP had
something to do with a certificate but the client I used didn't give enough
data to really go off of. Perhaps they have an IRC channel? If the

I tried to sign up but it wouldn't work. Is it out yet?
OK, so now openmailbox.org is working again, but Jabber isn't :(
I had the same problem but for me it is solved and working again
I think I've seen this happen before, but that it was resolved after a while.

Though It looks working fine but actually not!
If I send mail, it shows successfully sent but it is never going to be
received to whom we've sent mail.
I've tried many times and confirmed that unable to send mails. :(
No clue, but obviously it's just down for maintenance. This is normal.
sorry, the message is
Openmailbox is currently performing a maintenance operation in order to
prepare our next version availability. We should be back soon !
Hi everyone. Is openmailbox working? I went to their website
