Lorre has slowplayed the reuniting of Shamy this season, and done a pretty
good job of it, leading up to the episode you describe, which handles the
entire thing very well.
On the flip side, it now can't figure out what to do with Howard,
Bernadette (yes, we get it: he married his mom), and Raj.
I haven't watched Big Bang Theory in a long time, but I just watched the
episode from before Christmas (Dec 17th?) where Sheldon and Amy finally DO
IT.Bob Newhart makes guest appearances, and the A (or B?) plot is the
new Star Wars movie opening.
