Have you checked if all depending extensions are really correctly
installed in the extension manager (and cleared the cache?) ?

It gives specific classes on every CType (text, image, text/image and so on)
and then you can hit the headers and other sub elements with CSS like

I have some problems to set up realurl running properly on a debian

In case others ever have teh same problem I discovered after debugging
sr_feuser_register that I needed to add the following line to my extensions
ext_tables.php file, otherwise my fields are not processed by
sr_feuser_register's TCA field processor:

Meanwhile there is metaext out which tries to combine ots of benefits from
metatags and seo_basics have a look there.
The wec_starter package has a metatags configuration in their settings -
perhaps you should have a look there if you still want to work with
metatags..

...as you use it anyway to get the image.
