I am successfully using BCI connect from Unidata 6. See code example :
Note - when I compile I need to use the -I option.

We encountered similar errors when doing a proof of concept with the new xml
functions. The problem is that the documentation has the functions in mixed
case but UD won't compile them like that.
You have two options:
1. Change SQLBindParameter to SQLBINDPARAMETER etc
2. Compile with the -I
I'm trying to develop a small application using UniObjects with Visual Basic

I can run the program inside Visual Basic IDE and the program runs fine but
when the program is compiled I get an
but oddly, the older socket and http functions (like openSocket) are
documented as mixed case and really ARE mixed case. Oh well.
Does anyone know of any downside to always compiling with -I. Does it only
affect reserved words and not also variable names?

I'm seeing (another) bug in UV 10.1.2. Apparently, deleting items from
files is taking up to 1 second per delete when done programatically, ie:
DELETE FILE,KEY
I'm waiting for an upgrade to 10.1.4. Has anyone else noticed this problem?
Thanks,

I'm running a character mode terminal and when I add a new universe
printer under SYSTEM.ADMIN, I don't have enough room to type the full
path name of the interface driver.
How can I get the full path name in.
I am running a HPUX system and a typical path might be-
/usr/spool/uv/if/shiplj4000
Sounds like the kind of thing that would happen if the file had a lot of
overflow.

Common problem. The only way I know to do it is to edit the DEVICE
file and put it in there. You can also edit the sp.config file, but I
discourage that simply because if DEVICE is out of sync with sp.config
and someone changes DEVICE, you can lose your extra stuff in sp.config

That's what I would have thought, too. However, I'm seeing this on files
that have recently been resized to about 10% larger than current need for
growth. AND they aren't that big. 30,000 items
Could they be hashing very badly?

I've seen several references to functions dealing with xml parsing, reading
from / writing to sockets, making http calls, etc.. that appear to use built in
universe functions.
Could someone point me to where I'd find documentation for these functions.

Definitely looks like overflow - what does an ANALYZE.FILE tell you? ---
also what is the physical file structure (O.S level files and sizes).
One other possibility - is there a horrendously large indexed entry (like
10's of K multivalues or similar) ? - let's take a look at LIST.INDEX ALL
