We have a software product called 'Kourier Freight Control' that does all that

Try looking in Google for "ISO 8601 week". It may help answer some of your

Ditto. This is the same way we do it (other than we do the export after each
shipment). I have worked with UPS now for two different companies to get an
interface with their software. They worked very well with me and helped me
accomplish my goals.
Only side note I have to add, is I ended up

Barry is right, the definition of "year" (beit "fiscal", "calendar" or

If I understand the question properly, I believe this will do it:

a week is 7 days, 7 * 52 = 364. As far as I know, a year always

I have found UPS tech support quite knowledgable in their software
and integrating it with other software.
We interface with World Ship using csv import/export tables and let
the software do all the work, it imports the name and address and
then exports the tracking numbers and amounts.

Consider contacting UPS tech support.
I expect that there is a SQL/ODBC web thing with up-to-date rates etc.

One of the hardest things with UPS is they tack on extra charges
at delivery time if it's a residence and you didn't know it, or
if it's in a rural area where they don't normally travel to.
So even if you get the rate the way you think it is, it could wind
up being billed to you at a higher

Not the rate calculator but the USPS 'shipping label' process. It was
pretty simple once we got on line and talked through our understanding
of their documentation .

I am thinking a similar question.
How do we know how many database connections opened by an application?
Could we query a universe table or file to get the info of current

We're on Unix and did this via the .profile route - works
Is this something that can be done with the U2 SOAP API as written up by Nik

The link came from the U2UG site.
