Look at the bright side ... At least you wouldn't have to pay someone to
haul them away, which is what will happen if you hold on to them
I believe the IsActive property is not entirely accurate and tends more
to reflect the situation when the last command, or whatever, ran. But
hours-of-being-dormant later, testing this property does not prove the
connection is still viable.
What do you do?
The reason I ask is that in VB we try
I doubt it you will ever make anything on these. You might check you
local colleges and non-profits to see if you can get them to come
haul them away (or pay the shipping) and then you take a charitable
contribution deduction.

Hello,
Has anyone yet deployed any webservices that they have developed using
IBM's U2 Web Service Developer tool?
If so, how have you deployed into your test and/or production
enviroments?
Thanks,
David

From my tests, you are right about IsActive - it is the results of the
last connection (I think) and has nothing to do with the current state.
I added a timer function to our VB front end that runs every 60 seconds
and
The same result can be accomplished by calling a subroutine that does
nothing other than return.
If it does not throw an exception, then the connection is alive.

Need some assistance with configuring the subject drive under Universe

I have added the device under UniAdmin, but am a bit clueless what to
place in the rewind and skip dos command prompts.
The examples in the help file do not work (c:\ibm\uv\bin\uvmt -dtape0

The tape drive
We regularly call a UV subroutine ASKOK which returns 'OK'. If it
doesn't, it is assumed the connection has broken.

If you can't find a local place to donate them, there may be some libraries who
would be willing to pay the shipping for such a donation. If you're
interested, let me know and I can put you in touch with a listserve you can get
their availability posted to.

Gimme a price and description on the Systech serial controllers. I have one
client who uses them and could opt for spares.
Thanks

$5M US to implement SAP over the course of 4 years and then was bought out a

I lost a 60 user UD client to Great Plains 3 years ago and they still
haven't replaced the all functionality
