I am trying to use uv/net from a Universe Unix server to access files on a
Universe Windows 2003 server. The thought here was to use some old, ancent
code that can't be migrated to the Windows server; just have this code open,
read, and update files on the Windows server using uv/net.
In testing
use this voc entry.

what is missing here?

vi your inet.sec file and only allow your workstation ip to connect to the
server via TELNET , this keeps everyone out but you.
put your ip addres on the TELNET line, normally this commented or removed.

I reset the User Policy to Any Account, and have the users add the domain as
part of the login {Domain\Username}, and enter the UV account name, not the
path they can connect.
As us upgraders to 2003 know we didn't have to do this with 2000.

Just upgraded my development Universe 10.1 server to Windows 2003 from
Windows 2000. Previously, domain users could log into universe on this
server, but since the upgrade this isn't possible. Only users with
