This was a very useful feature of RealityX ( yet again ) whih we miss
bigtime.
LAST.UPDATE was an item in the MD/DICT which returned the last write of
that item.
The UV flavour McDonnell Douglas Reality for some reason does not support
this either.

not appear to provide a conversion code as
in MCN etc ; would someone know of a UV code or algorithm that
converts these strings?

Not being an expert on EVAL, I would put all the IF THEN ELSE etc into a
dictionary item. Would that be simpler?

Reading the manual, the GETPU seems to return everything BUT the current
print job number. Perhaps this is a wish list for the next release of UV.
