We've now been living with the change to the lists for nearly a
month. I'd like to invite opinions on the change. Are we all happy now

Think LIST.READU is what you are looking for. LIST.LOCKS only displays the
64 semaphore locks which I don't think are too common anymore.
Trick with LIST.READU was equating the file number to the proper data file
if you were doing it
Does anybody have some experience with the 'ENCRYPTION' function in Unibasic,
intoduced in UniData 6.1? An example of usage would be appreciated.

Suddenly today we started seeing
'No more LCTs'
when we tried to log in.
Checking the process list shows LOTS and LOTS of udcs and udapi_slave
processes, which I can tell from the userid

Not exactly. There's a Unix timestamp of when a group was last updated.
It can be extracted using fileview.
