I do 1/4 turn after finger tight. I'm currently working on a similar issue
that I believe is interference however it only shows on any/all of the
lower frequencies. Higher freqs are fine :(

I have always done finger tight because I read somewhere in ancient times
overtightening is really bad (not sure why). It's it generally practiced
to tighten a little bit, ie quarter turn?

Don't believe in coincidences rain drop side... moisture or loose
ant nut. Latter is more common as techs sometimes forget to wrench 1/4
turn... finger tight will loosen. Also, many radios come with the curl nut,
under the male antenna plug on radio, is loose and under it is a tiny
rubber w
I would guess weather related, i.e. water in a feedhorn or rf cable. If the
signal gets better as the rain moves out and things dry up, you will know it is
physical and not RF.

The link went down last night around 10. Came back up at 10. At the remote
site I saw uptime of 255 days or something.
Using my phone I changed remote frequency and got no change. After a
couple hours the link is up and running (channel problems exist though).
Odd that interference would change
They definitely act this way with Interference as well. Seen it multiple times
on multiple links.

We had a DOA RD5G30 feedhorn that caused this as well.
