As a result of doing several experiments, I have had to reinstall Ubuntu several times. Most of the experiments were in the hope of getting my headphone jacks and microphone working. Although I haven't managed to do that, I have discovered somthing. I have had a lot of problems with Orca

Hi, I downloaded the live CD today and found the installer and other admin apps are now accessible when using the live CD. However, after I installed the system several of the apps were no longer accessible from the user account. So this must have been done for the CD only. In any case, good

The speed is now slower by hitting what used be called the Micorsoft key and the - key together to slow down. that is MSFT+dash key. MSFT+equal key speeds up. the speed changes are big, and don't take effect right away sometimes; but they are workable ok. Herzog
