With bksu/sudo modification, possible not simplest modify only the
/usr/share/applications/ubiquity-gtkui.desktop file with exec line? For
example, when I do custom live CD, I modifyed the following line in the
live CD extracted chroot file system, and working right:
Exec=sudo

Your fix method working equals right my method? If I using my method,
Orca correct working entire installation, and correct spokening the
install finished message. And,
I do a custom live CD and test the new modifyed version.
When the desktop exec line is not containing sudo prefix, the installer
is not launched if I click the desktop icon.
I copyed the command line with desktop file, and running with terminal.
sudo give a invalid switch error message.

however the speech went halfway through my upgrade so i had to
force my laptop to shutdown and restart only i don't think ubuntu
upgraded properly as the menus still look like hardy menus as if
