I take it that everybody saw Cimi's post on PGO: http://www.cimitan.com/blog/2008/02/09/optional-flat-toolbars-for-clearlooks-222/ As far as I can tell, this means that the functionality to merge the menubar/toolbars is now upstream. Should hit Hardy when gtk-engines is next updated. Cheers,

So for whatever reason the new version of the UbuntuClearlooks theme didn't upload to the wiki. Didn't realize it until tonight. Here's the latest version with the nicer metacity.The gtk-engines link below is the latest version of my hack.

xl, that does look good. The colors are a little bright for me, but I like the way there's no dividing line below the menu bar. I'm for adding this capability to the hardy theme. It's so simple and subtle that most people won't notice it except that the windows feel less boxy and cluttered.
