The dude does some pretty good work for the theme engines, but I've exchanged a 
few emails and he is an ass.  Especially since I had exchanged emails about the 
work I did to the engine to make a unified menubar and toolbar.   I essentially 
asked for permission to patch them in.

I copied that email below.
He also made a remark about the unified look from a screenshot in what I 
thought was a bug with tabs from the latest clearlooks code.

Clearlooks is more conservative, while my development branch of murrine
offers a great amount of new options, like for example *customize the
gradients* of the widgets.

I'm not so happy to accept that change, first of all I really dislike
your version of the unified toolbar (for my point of view it's just
ugly, look at nautilus for example, it looks really strange with two
toolbars), second, as said, I clearlooks is conservative.
On the other hand, compiling murrine (even 0.53.1) with --enable-macmenu
should do the trick.
