im in desperate need for a link to a past release of Ubuntu that will
work on my PowerPC iMac G3. I love it alot and i want to do something

The problem is there isnt Linux Hardware
Almost every computer shop will sell the hardware you need, you just
need to know what brands tend to have better support.
Id recommend intel chipset, asus motherboard, an an Nvidia graphics
card. That being said, there are many other viable options.

Sorry I don't know of any stores... However there is a really neat
website at: www.staticice.com.au which lists around 262 Australian
retailers and compares there prices so you can find some of the
better deals for hardware in Australia. Hopes this helps.

Hi For the last two days I have busted my head trying to get Ubuntu to
dial up the internet. Ok I am old and not up to these things but I have

Well if you log into the terminal as you normally would using first
your username, then your password. You can run the command: startx
this will start xserver and boot you into your default windows manager
from where you can make the necessary changes from there using the
gui. Maybe you should try

The two main reasons where better integration into GNOME (I run
Intrepid) and address book supporting birthdays.
While I was searching on how to do the move as painless as possible I
found many who wanted to move from Evolution
There isn't much to getting wine working correctly as I understand it.
To install follow the instructions here:
