Public bug reported:
I would love to see the LInux 2.6.22 kernel backported to Feisty,
including linux-restricted-modules and linux-ubuntu-modules (which
apparently holds the iwlwifi).
Background:
My laptop's wifi isn't working which is most likely due to a somewhat
dysfunctional wireless kill
Very good.
Are there any amd64 builds avaiable other than getdeb's? Their version do not
seem to be very clean (i.e.: do not replace gaim with a dummy pkg).
Does pidgin have any BIG change, or important feature not in Feisty's gaim?

Backport Pidgin 2.0.0 Final to Fiesty
Both things are possible since the only restriction is gtk2.10.
As for the package itself there has been several amateur packages
posted on the scribes list (https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo
/scribes-discussion) and I have been using the one for Feisty for some
time now.

schroot crash at new login
Hi Mike,
I've have installed from repos (via apt) and have installed from source
before. However, I haven't done much, if anything in-between (which this
seems to be). Once this stuff gets in the repos, will I automatically get
updates, etc. (as opposed to when I install from source)?
BTW,
I've been using the Debian unstable packages in both Edgy and Feisty for
a while, now. I built them from the (unmodified) source package--as I
always do when using Debian packages.
