[Bug 345090] [NEW] Newer Boost version

2009-03-18 Thread RĂ¼diger
Public bug reported: Currently 8.10 only comes with Boost 1.34 and 1.35. These versions are a year old at least and current boost version is 1.38. I need a current boost version for development and more seriously I need a new boost version available as an ubuntu package to create a package for the

[Bug 296321] Re: Network manager show popups about connection etablished every login

2009-03-18 Thread Ville Immonen
Yes, the bug still exists as the new version of Network manager applet that includes the fix has *not* been backported to Ubuntu. I've filed a backport request in intrepid backports two months ago, but nothing has happened since. The request is located in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317514 S

[Bug 344893] Re: no possibility to filter filetypes anymore

2009-03-18 Thread Jonathan Thomas
The filter functionality is actually a separate plugin. It was re- enabled in KDE 4.2 and is in Kubuntu 9.04, but the konq-plugins package hasn't been backported to 8.10. ** Changed in: konq-plugins (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: kdebase => konq-plugins Status: New => Invalid ** Also affects:

Per Jonathan's last comment, I'm going to mark this 'Incomplete', until you guys can confirm that both packages have been tested adequately on Intrepid. After that, please mark 'Confirmed' again, and the ubuntu- archive team will handle this request. Thanks, :-Dustin ** Changed in: intrepid-back

Public bug reported: I know jaunty is not released yet, so this request is a bit early. I would like to see current versions of the bacula-client meta package backported to 6.06. By doing this myself and others can keep our stable and well running 6.06 servers as they are, and then have a single

[Bug 340151] Re: ICQ protocol update [March 2009]

2009-03-18 Thread Szabolcs Parragh
As I see it, the problem with Hardy is that the version in backports (2.5.2) doesn't have the fix, only the stable repository version (2.4.1.) Therefore if you have backports enabled, you won't get a good version, which ICQ works with. You'll have to disable backports, remove the podgin and pidgin
